Thanks For Everything
Hello!
I just had a great few days over the weekend with my older brother who was in town for a business conference and then he extended his stay with us for a few extra days. He is the first of my immediate family I have been able to see since being diagnosed with cancer, it was just great to get a hug from your big brother! I can’t wait to see my folks and younger brother when we travel back to Michigan for my oldest nephews wedding, but that’s not until January! And Dave’s folks are coming for a trip in September so it’ll be super nice to have them here as well! We traveled right after my diagnosis to Omaha and visited Dave’s sister Cyndi, so she was the first to give me hugs! As I sit here after dropping Steve off at the airport it kind of just hits ya, family is family – just something about it. I love and feel loved so much by so many friends for which I am truly blessed, and yes we do say and mean it that some friends are like family … but there’s a little something extra about family being family. I’m sad he’s gone and find my eyes teared up giving him a hug goodbye, but cancer has taught me to set aside the tears of sadness and turn them into tears of joy for the opportunity to have had the time with him! So putting on a smile and drying my eyes!!
Anyhow, I know you’re here for the pretty stamped stuff but I just wanted to share a little bit of life too!
I think these next couple of posts will probably close out the samples that I created for my On Stage presentation in San Diego in April. So … we have had a party banner, invitations, and treats so far – what else? Why of course we need the all important THANK YOU’s!!
Here’s one version!
